I am Genaro Antonio Tejada.
I am only Tony for my friends. I was born in a historical and beatiful city called
La Vega, in Dominican Republic.
I am the older of two brothers.
I spent all my childhood in my natal town, where
I studied my elementary and high school in the Colegio Agustiniano.
When I got my high school diploma, I went to
Santiago de los Caballeros where I obtained my B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering at
the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra.
My first professional experience was at Rosario Dominicana, S. A.,
a Dominican Government owner gold and silver mine.
While I was working at Rosario, I lived in Bonao.
I felt nostalgia for my small country, the Olympic City of
La Vega, and I came back there.
Then I was teaching Chemistry
at the Universidad Tecnológica del Cibao.
Since 1990, I am living in
Puerto Rico. Now I am finishing my Ph. D. in Inorganic Chemistry at the
University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus.
Although I chose the sciences as career, I love the arts. Therefore I write from time
to time a poem and I put it the music using my old guitar,
called by me "The Blonde".
